Yep, you read it right! Everything is on this is made of legos, even the small motor is from a robotics invertion system. The only things that aren't lego is the paper cone, the tin foil in the cone, and the straight pin that rides the record.

Should have recorded this a little closer to the horn. It's hard to hear and the tonality gets lost. Using this method, the sound is louder than what it sounds like here. It's actually surprisingly loud.

i'd be careful with using metal needles...apparently they can ruin the vinyl.
it doesn't matter to me. i use the cdj-800 ;-). it lets you play cds as if they were vinyl. *so* cool!
...but i don't want to offend anybody who *does* like vinyl; vinyl's still cool, but it's easier to go from a vinyl record to a cd than from a cd to a vinyl record *shrugs*
