FYI: Did you know Donald Rumsfeld is the reason aspartame can be used? He got the FDA commissioner to approve it in 1981 when he was the CEO of Searle Labs which was then bought by Monsanto in 1985.

Its pretty straight forward, aspartame is a chemical, and there is no chemical you can put into your body in large amounts every day and not eventually have an adverse reaction. Aspartame = HUGE MONEY, imagine taking diet coke and diet pepsi off the market? sure its terrible for you but so are prescription drugs and MSG's. Are we stupid enough we need something off the market before we dont consume it? In the mean time, aspartame will keep the FDA laughing straight to the bank. money money

I have no stance on this situation, but this video has no evidence for either side. Look at all those side effects. People want someone to blame for their sicknesses. I heard nothing about any serious side effects. This was way over played. I always thought artificial sweetener caused cancer, but they blamed it all on minor symptoms, because people with no experience claimed it. Anyone who hears this video as fact and evidence is ignorant. This is very weak journalism in my opinion.

Seriously? What if the woman was drinking a six pack every day...and her liver failed. Should alcohol be taken off the market? Are you an infant? Take responsibility for your life. No one should be stupid enough to eat something sugar-free / low-fat / whateverfakefood like it's healthy and can replace real food. You ARE what you eat. This report failed to mention that the American Diabetes Association and American Cancer Society agree with the Food and Drug Admin. The compelling argument - Aspartame is naturally produced in most vegetables. Therefore, if you want to ban Aspartame then get ready to ban most vegetables as well. For you suckers of email hoxes, wake up to the real truth, not conspiracy laiden reports like this one. As a diabetic myself, I have carefully studied this issue and concluded Aspartame as a God-send.
