Merry Christmas to All!! The Yule Log has been back on tv on Christmas morning for the past couple of years. I missed it terribly for years. It was especially lovely to watch on Christmas Eve...gave all us Bronx kids a fireplace of our own for a night!

Can you believe some stations (nyctv) now have the nerve to show gas powered yule logs??? Same three bits of flame all night, same fake crackles over and over. No more watching for shapes in the fire, no more watching for the arm that places a new log on. It's so fake, and it's so so terribly sad:*(
