These are BAE Hawks..the Patrouille de France, use Alpha jets...the Alpha jets have two engines compered to the hawks one.

To those who are arguing that the Blue Angels are better then the Red Arrows, because the Arrows only do formation flying. Have you ever seen a full show by the Red Arrows? They do a hell of a lot more than formation flying. I will not comment on whose best, as I have only seen the Red Arrows, but if the Blue Angels are half as good they'd still be awesome.

they're both amazing... the blue angels are a slight bit more focused on the military power and demostrations, not hte grace and beauty the red arrows bring... if i had to choose, red arrows all the way!

Well the fact is where ever these guys go may it be on and Eastern Arrow tour or western arrow tour they always put the host nations display teams in there place.Fact!! If you don't recon well does ask your teams they will say the same. The Reds to give more of a show! and display alot more skill.

thats some good flying right there, basicly a british version of the blue angles? these guyse are just as good as the blue angles if not better. damn good flying, looks like thay have little markings on there canopy, so thay line up perfectly, somthing the blue angles f18s dont have i dont think, smart thinking

The canopy markings you refer to is an explosive cord used to shatter the canopy in case of the need to eject.

massive respect to the red arrows i wacthed danger men on chan 5 last night. they was against the usaf us navy n canadian air force all they did was fly round in formation thed red arrows blew them away. the red arrows got respect off every one.

yeah I saw that programme last night. they put all the other display teams to shame. WE have the best formation team worldwide. Red Arrows and their little red hawks are a cut above the rest!!

incidentally I thought it showed a lot of class from the Americas to come up and congratulate the Red arrows after their diaply at he North American air show and admit they were out done - none of this nationalistic nonsense. The lady crying whilst watching thier evening performance was a great image

The Reds are nothing short of fanttastic. I saw the "Danger Men" too, and it showed the guys at their best.
Likewise though, i respect the Americans and Canadians. All of the flying was nothing short of brilliant!
