I don't agree with everything John Lennon said, but I've concluded he is right when he said: "We've been playing mind games and planting x's seeds for ever", and my interpretation of this Bach composition is that he says basically the same thing on an abstract level, or rather, we can only question universal certainties for there is no end to semantics, which explains my comments you responded to.

Every time I listen to this Bach masterpiece, I feel like I was born centuries ago, feel a part of this era -- this particular melody stirs a place deep in my soul -- it touches me deeply spiritually -- tears well up inside my eyes as I feel transported back in time.
