Ford doesn't build Mustangs to fly. That was true back in 1968 when Steve McQueen sent a GT 390 soaring over the hills of San Francisco in Bullitt. And it's true of the new 315-horsepower 2008 Mustang Bullitt.
We jumped it anyway. Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. It's a Mustang Bullitt, and that means it's gotta fly.

Yeah it was a defective transmission. And no, I babied the crap out of the car. Out of 7,700 I get the lemon. Lucky me... oh well tho, what can ya do ya know? on a good note, my dealer is upgrading the headlight to HID's and the shaker 500 audio system to a shaker 1000 audio system while they also put in the new transmission. Still, very disheartning and inconvenient. I just want my Bullitt back :(

Since my last comment three weeks ago I ended up buying my Bullitt (#2978) and love it! In the couple of weeks I've owned in I've alreay clocked about 3500 miles & I haven't had any problems. I did take it back to the dealership remove their sales security system that was hanging under the drivers dash.
God I love this car!

THATS IT 315 HORSEPOWER. 13.7 QUARTER MILE??? My 1999 trans am automatic stock ran 13.5 in the quarter, and 13.0 after exhaust and headers. All you are getting with this Mustang is some polished dashboard and a Bullitt badge. So sad.

So this bullitt mustang got to 60 in 5.1 secs but when they went against the challenger it was 5.4 secs.They need the same driver to do the mustang Kr's time over cuz it can do way better than 4.9 secs.
