International Space Station Pass 07-07-07
Uploaded by: ChrissyoSpace
Video Description:
This is a short video of the ISS pass I filmed through my telescope on the 07-07-07.
The quality is really really bad, so I should apologise! At least its only a short video so it won't waste much of your time. :P
These are only the sections where the ISS was in the camera's field of view. My telescope was on it's dobsonian base so I had to hand track the station through my finder-scope. This method is far from precise - hence why the station is jumping all over the place. It was my first attempt at filming the station and thus I wasn't sure what exposure to use, hence why the station is terribly over exposed.
Also, it seems converting the video for youtube (lowering resolution and frame rate) messed up the actual video of the station, hence why it trails and ghosts. You still get the general idea though and you can still make out the solar arrays and other protruding details.
This video was taken with my 10" Newtonian telescope on a Dobsonian base. I used a 32mm eyepiece and my video camera held to the eyepiece.
Enjoy! :)
