Only a few idiots could somehow get politics into a great song. Like your canidate you need to check facts and get it right. The song is about a snow covered muntain in Aspen. Stevie thought "wow there could be an avalanche and there is nothing I could do about it"

Well, if you care to 'get it right', Stevie's wish for her music is to reach people on many levels, not just for the reason she initially wrote the lyrics. For example...they performed Don't Stop for Bill Clinton...ok? Furthermore, Stevie's poetry may grab at someone for any number of reasons and I think that is what makes her a great artist.
So please, quit with the childish name calling and respect the depth of her music and the reason why her fan base is so HUGE.

There are people that will tell you its about her issues with cocaine, personally all I know is it's not about politics. Fleetwood Mac played the song for the Clintons yes but Don't stop was not written for them. We all do get our own message from music but Landslide is not about politics. IT IS A GREAT SONG BY A GREAT SINGER PERIOD.

No she didn't tell me her wishes in a dream, she talked about them in a news interview. You are correct that Landslide was not written about politics. Personally, Landslide is one of my all time favorite songs. I never imagined Landslide could bring out feelings of our political decline, but it did. My feelings or direction is not wrong - it's just different than yours. Besides, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, so I guess we're just a bunch of assholes lost in a sea of opinions.

Thank you for your apology. You didn't hurt my feelings, I'm a pretty tough ole' broad, lol, but I'll accept it anyway. And please don't misunderstand what I said about the news interview. She stated that she hopes her lyrics reach people at different levels of their lives and if it helps them go through different things for different reasons, then she's done her job well :o)

Obviously they KNOW this song is not ABOUT politics, but in the political condition that we're currently in, one would naturally find some similarities between the state of the country and the song Landslide. What's so wrong with that? Calling someone an idiot based on their comparisons to one song at one particular moment in time is, well, idiotic. Get over yourself.
