So macs DO reboot! lol
I use an iPod, buy the music on CD and rip it. I'm not a fan of any online music stores although have used them.

I think subscriptions have their place, but for me it will never replace buying the music I love. What Chris was talking about; direct access from an iPhone/iPod/whatever... like having unlimited music in your pocket because you just pay a subscription fee and temporarily download anything you want whenever you want; I could definitely go for that. It's not gonna replace my CD or iTunes purchases though.

E-music, MP3, no DRM, lots of indie, mostly for people who like obscure stuff, although there is some mainstream music on there as well.

I use Rhapsody. I don't own a iPod and don't like proprietor items...though the pod is nice. Why Rhapsody? Cuz for $15 a month I can throw 1000 different songs, each day on my MP3 and listen to all I want. Yes it goes away if you let the license expire. If I want something permanently, I'll go buy the cd. But haven't we all bought cds and wish we hadn't?

Obviously you guys dont know that with both urge and rhapsody you can purchase songs as well as subscribe. They give you the option to do either or both. You can subscribe and download as much as you want for 10-15 dollars a month. You can simply choose to purchase individual tracks which you own or you can subscribe and purchase tracks for a cheaper price. These are not subscription only music vendors.

How does it disappear when you have the OPTION to buy it if you want for 89 cents a song you dope? Rhapsody lets you buy it or if you want, they let you get a subscription for downloading AS MANY SONGS AS YOU CAN FIT ON YOUR MP3 PLAYER for ony $14.95 a month. iTunes is weak...deal with it.
Buying songs is the ... ( 6 months ago by Robertg71)
Buying songs is the biggest scam...because when you ever want to get rid of some of those old, tired songs, whose going to buy them back? LOL. Clown. Rhapsody gives you the ability to BUY the songs just like iTunes does. Lets see...1000 songs on iTunes= $1000 bucks. 1000 or more songs on Rhapsody= $14.95 a month with the option of buying just the ones you want to keep. Sounds pretty easy to me...

I back i tunes. The reason being is because with subscription services your paying for music your never going to own unless you buy them. With I tunes at least you know that every song u get will never expire unless you delete them. Lets say later on down the line u decide u dont want your supscription service anymore. Then if you cancel u will be unable to play any of the music on your computer except for the tracks you bought.
With I Tunes you ... ( 3 months ago by abe1289)
With I Tunes you can just puchase the song you want instead of the whole album which is nice because maybe you don't wanna spend 12 bucks on a CD, and lets say you only have a few favorite tracks on that CD u can just buy the tracks you want. But you do make a point. It is nice to have physical media in your hand like a CD. But who wants to go down to a store and wait in line for a CD. Don't get me wrong I still do that. But in this age of technology everyone wants things instantly.
