Maybe you were too young to know about him. Ahn Jung-Hwan is one of the BEST Korean player along with Cha Bum-Kun and Hwang Sun-Hong. Personally I rate him better than Park Ji-Sung. Ahn truely deserves to play in Europe. Currently he's in early 30s, plays for Busan Icons in the K-League.

There was a dispute between Ahn and Perugia (Serie A)over his contract. At the time still affiliated with Perugia, playing for Korean national at the WC02, Ahn's golden goal in the 2nd round against Italy led the owner of Perugia cancel his contract, "I have no intention of paying a salary to someone who has ruined Italian football."

Yea since then Ahn's career has been a rollercoaster. In my opinion, I blame Ahn's agent for letting down Ahn from playing at Europe. Nevertheless, Ahn Jung-Hwan is truely a great player.

ahn better than park??they are two different players but i have to say park is better at his position then ahn is. ahn plays center forward/shadow striker, while park is either wing forward/center midfield. The major differences are that park can out run ahn, can play more positions, and plays much better defence. Ahn is however, a far better striker, and is very clutch and can count on him to make something happen. I will agree that ahn's 개인기 is much better than park's full force running style.

technically hes a whole lot better than park ji sung and his ability to finish with any part of his body and dribble was incredible. I look at fenando torres and i see ahn jung hwan. I'm so sad hes too old now hes an absolute legend
