New York state. But depending on the result of the next election, there may be a major impact on the rights of gun owners nationwide. And since Ron Paul has dropped out, the only impact I think that we'll have is almost guaranteed to be negative.

It's on the rise, from what I've seen, though. Oddly enough, home invasions are more common per capita over there than they are here.
Most of our crime is gang related, and gangs don't regularly burglarize non-gang members. In this city, there were 55 murders last year, 23 with guns, and 29 with knives or stabbing implements, and they were all black on black inner city crimes. Two of the other three were white people, one, a man garroted his wife, the other a vehicular manslaughter.

Nah. It's on the other side of the state, on the south end of Long Island, in Brooklyn. There's a little hot dog joint near where I lived in Iowa called Coney Island, and they were pretty good.
As far as the racist thing, if you did say that you'd be right. But it'd also be politically incorrect, and you can't say something like that that blames more black people for crime than white people, so many democratic politicians are finding something else to blame, such as inanimate objects.

That movie does depict, pretty well, what's really going on in a city that doesn't allow anyone to possess functional firearms or handgun parts. The only people that are going to have guns are the ones that break the law to get them, which would be the only people who are willing to break the law, which are exactly the people you really don't want to be carrying more guns than you are.

Ooo ok. They have Barrett .50 cals on there but they make them seem like you can shoot one while moving which isn't very life-like but ah well. They rock.

The good thing about a Barret rifle is that every effort to reduce recoil was made. If you can swing it, it should be possible, but not easy, to shoot standing, or even walking. I know they did make a carbine, or there were carbines made, that were much lighter and could be shot while not prone easier than the 32" barrel models. Unfortunately, it was still a huge rifle, and the shorter barrel would have impacted accuracy and velocity enough to make it useless for competition.
