But when you cut taxes (which has come to mean cutting taxes the rich pay -- capital gains, dividends, and top W-2 income brackets), the programs that get cut are not the military and the police; they are social programs for the poor and middle class and programs that benefit everyone like infrastructure

i don't agree that taking away the income tax would make it worse.. the income tax allows the banks to thrive, and they constantly expand their influence with credit and background checks.. the income tax empowers the rich... it also empowers our government to write checks that our budget cannot cash.
