Theres nothing wrong with christianity if you follow it correctly (although I'm Atheist). And yes this song is about christianity however TFK with their brilliance made it so anyone can relate to it.

So when it says "Cut off my strings and BREAK off your control of me" it means to break off the control of Satan and be with Jesus.

Cut my string from Satan? Yah right more like cut my string from life. Take the time out from the Bible to Feel the world. I was raised Christian. Then I got out of that s*** and I have never felt so much more alive! Cristianity dulls life, it cuts out the life out of living! Just to live like I do now... I could never go back. Funny thing is my life, though spurning the evils of Christanity, still follows the ten commandments. Hummanity is not enslaved to evil, its basically good. Not bad.

O_O"... Talk about a ball out of left field. Just because your not a christian doesn't automatically make you a pregnant teen, or some booze-aholic.
Some christian deny themselves soda or coffee. My Christian friend won't eat pork. I agree lots of alcohal is bad, but a glass of red wine every now and then is proven to be good for your heart.
A LOT of the Old testement is rules. I admit most of them were pretty healthy to follow... BACK THEN! Now you just deny yourself for no reason.
