the london cast sucks. little red is a gap toothed idiot. the baker and the baker's wife are like emotionless robots. cinderella is as a ugly as sin and the stepsisters and stepmother are horrible singers (and are supposed to be beautiful of face?). acting is horrible and so is staging.

Much though I love the OBC, I think I prefer this version. I see this as much more of an english interpretation and so it's darker and stranger. I reckon it's just part of the english psyche that we like dark subversion and pessimism. I certainly find them more interesting!
