IPod nano with brightness controls!
Uploaded by: Soyoto
Video Description:
Showtime! For some mysterious reason, this iPod nano has a backlight brightness feature that can be found in the settings menu.
It's operated using the click-wheel, like a dimmer. Unlike early iPods that had a contrast feature that acted on the LCD only, the controls on this nano really dims the backlight led, and enables you to save on battery power.

apples updates keep getting worse and worse. you STILL cant turn on and off the backlight by pressing the menu button and what's even worse is how this update has made tons of ipods instantly restart at random times (see apple's support forums, its happened to tons of people).
my advice is to stick with the original ipod software from 10-12-2005.
I am using the older ipod nano (black) with version 1.3 firmware. there is no brightness control in sight. how do i enable or get brightness control?
olha o mal de parquison haha

my ipod is updated but don't have brightness control...
i found a tutorial about this, but i don't kwon if works in 2G nano...
can you help me?
LOL, when I found this iPod wizard couldn't even do this.
I posted how to do it on the iPod Wizard forums, as well as detailed clues on how to modify other menus, items and screens.
Thanks in part to my discoveries, they added new features to iPod Wizard to edit menus and screen layouts, which lead to a whole new level of iPod theming.
