Besides being Eurasian (one problem) Kristen doesn't know martial arts. I guess you never played the games, but chun li can do the splits. Kristin is whimsy. She doesn't look tough at all. And to miss out on telling the story from RYU's perspective. What the fuck are the film makers thinking?

Yeah, Kristin may be half Chinese, and that may be interesting if you were making talk with her while on a date; however, she doesn't look Chinese enough for the movie. I agree that the actress should have a unique look, but she still needs to look like a "Li". Plus, Chun li is a strong and curvy woman; can this Kristin really pull that off ?!?!

i know some of u guys upset that Kristin Kreuk is going to play Chun-li but just accpet it guys.
But i think the best choice of Chun-Li i think is Smith Cho check her out.
p.s. Kristin Kreuk, Her father, Peter Kreuk, is of Dutch descent; her mother, Deanna Che, is of Chinese descent, but was born in Indonesia; her maternal grandmother was born in Jamaica of Chinese descent.

I hope this is a straight-to-DVD or made-for-TV movie. It won't make it as a real movie.
I can't believe they're having a mutt play Chun-Li. Why the hell are all the girls in this movie mutts? I think we can expect a lot of Asian stereotyping in this movie, because clearly they didn't care enough to cast full Asian actors.
