You use a click chart which is either available on my website, or photon detector. Either click the link in the top right, go to the address shown at the start of the film, or look through the comments for a link to photon detector. Hope that helps! Have fun.

does using the 35mm films produce vignettes?
If it were larger ... ( 1 month ago by bunni804)
If it were larger it would. Try using two 35mm rolls (on top of one another). My friend does it, and there's probably some way for you to figure out how to do it if you don't know how. I've seen some examples of the scans of flickr too.

you can, but this way is free. be careful about which adapter you buy. some cover up the sprocket holes of the film which defeats the object of 35mm holga.

hey, i'm also ... ( 2 weeks ago by sidvs)
hey, i'm also trying an 35mm film right now, and i've read that after every single frame shot you have to turn the advance weel, to become a new frame, right? but it also says 'turn the weel until the film counter window reads the next number' but since i had to tape it, i don't know how many clicks i have to turn after each photo. can you help me? and if i do not use the right context, it's because i'm from belgium, but i think you can understand. thanks anyway!

so -sorry to bother you again- if I understand correctly: the Nicolai Morrison tabel tells me that after my 42 'load clicks' i am able to take my first shot. after my first shot i have to click 35 times, after that 34 and so on?
Yes that's ... ( 2 weeks ago by squarefrog)
Yes that's absolutely correct. Good luck!

I received a used Holga from my cousin as a gift, & there isn't a take-up spool... I was thinking maybe I could use a wooden dowel & some washers to make a new one. would this work or do you have any good suggestions? D:
Firstly, ... ( 1 week ago by squarefrog)
Firstly, congratulations on scoring a free holga! You only problem with creating your own spool is you need to have 2 notches in the ends for the winding mechanism to turn the spool. That's hard to explain. My advice would be to see if a local photo lab/college/school darkroom has a spare 120 spool. Seriously they are usually plentiful in these places.
thank you! I'm so ... ( 1 week ago by DiGiCharat9990)
thank you! I'm so excited to start using it...& thank you for the advice. unfortunately, I just spent the past hour fiddling with plastic, fire, foam, scissors, & a box cutter trying to make a spool. lol. oh well. thank you, again!

Firstly, many thanks for the brilliant video and excellent web-site!
I just wondered about the foam you used - did you cut it yourself and if so from what, and how big?
Thanks
Yeah I cut the foam ... ( 1 week ago by squarefrog)
Yeah I cut the foam. Not too big, about an inch square. Thats the beauty of foam though if its too big it just squashes down :D
