Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. It's just that Americans seem to be very insular and therefore egocentric in their thinking. It's not your fault though. The education systems all over the world are designed to dumb people down, in the USA particularly so. As an example, 20% of Americans apparently believe that the sun revolves around the earth. Google John Gatto. He's written a book called "Dumbing us Down."
