In The Lion King, Scar is has a scar and is evil.
In Harry Potter, Harry has a scar, but is good.
I see some inconsistencies there :P

But in Harry Potter the characters are human, not animals, and it's filmed, not animated, so I don't see what it has to do with AOFW and The Lion King. It's just totally different!!!

it's not really an 'effect'. They all have british accents because all the actors are in fact british, as this is a BBC/EBU production of a British book. Also, British accents in film were destroyed long before pocahontas- just listen to Dick van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Where did he learn his, Australia?
