My fingers are too short, I cannot reach around the neck of the guitar. The string goes under my fingernails...I dont get how to press down on the string, as I have to reach so far. I cant make a 90 degree onto the string.

you need to bend ur wrist much more - as much as you can - pretty tiring at first - like all new exercises using bew muscles for the first time - but when ur wrist strengthens up u wont notice the tiredness anymore.
With yuour wrist bent you will be able to get ur fingers much more vertical, not so flat.
Stick with it - it feels impossible at first - same for everyone. In a year you will wonder what the problem was.

Try muscle exercises and to make it that bit easier try and get a slim neck electric or acoustic, Dean do a good thin neck acoustic and Jackson or Ibanez for the thin neck electrics, usually the best.
Push your heart & hands, we all have restrictions somewhere along the way, but we learn :)

Make sure your arm is as far under the guitar is is comfortable. Once you get better and more comfortable, then you can worry aboout how your form looks. You don't need to look like an expert when you first start lol. When I first started, I held my acoustic right up to my face because my fingers are so short. Now I'm much better and its no problem. Now strumming patterns give me a hard time. Thanks for the vid Justin, gave me a new perspective on strumming! "So long as you get idea..." Lol!
