Florida State defeats Nebraska for national title

Highlights from the 1994 Orange Bowl. Bobby Bowden and Tom Osbourne were each looking to win their first national title. FSU overcame a dropped touchdown pass, a Nebraska tip drill that resulted in a touchdown, and an overthrow and a pass interference penalty on what would have been gamewinning touchdowns to win 18-16. The game was not without controversy as Nebraska fans often point to the borderline William Floyd touchdown that could have been ruled a fumble and the unnecessary roughness call on FSU's final drive but usually don't mention the calls that went in the Huskers favor which I took the liberty of highlighting in this video : ) Controversy aside this was one of the greatest national championship games in college football history

I would probably have to agree with that. FSU is ahead of schedule on the rebuilding front. Next year will be the Noles year. Nebraska is going in the right direction. They will be back there too...

the gator bowl also has the option to take either notre dame or a big 12 team. because the gator bowl is losing money and needs good ratings and a good showing from fans they wanted notre dame or nebraska. with notre dame losing to cuse that gives us a great and likey shot at the gator bowl after we beat colorado. The gator bowl administration also said an 8-4 nebraska team was a likely choice. and check the bowl projections once and a while.
