A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. its not aimed at the jap litre bikes, this thing should be a wesapon on the twisties and most riders should would probably be quicker between the hedges down any road than on a jap litre bikes, no holding back no respecting the 160bhp+ on tap, a sweet handling package with useable horsepower ala gsxr 750

No comparison really though. Okay, yes... any of the Jap Thou's would be faster, but they are a higher cc and a completly different engine type. This bike is more comparable to a Jap 600 as they have about the same bhp.

You're funny. Any idiot can twist the throttle and go fast in a straight line- how many can really RIDE? That's what Duc's are conducive for. I had a Multistrada 620 and had been riding for 3 months. I did our local mountain road with a guy who had been on GSX-R 1000's for 10+ years. In a straight, he was gone if I so much as blinked. But in the turns I could leapfrog past him, laughing maniacally. 63hp well used kept up with an '07 Jap liter just fine.

A R1 brand new is not half the price of the 848.
If all that mattered is HP it can be done very cheap!
Again, please understand the history and the engineering
of these machines before making any assumptions.

TRUE! In my country, we'd usually ride up to a mountain resort on weekends. Yes, the Jap bikes smokes us Ducati riders on the highway, but by the time we wind up to the top, we'd be thru our second cigarette before the other bikes show up! I do like Jap bikes but when it comes to EMOTIONAL riding experience, nothing beats a Duke (or Drug, as i like to call it).
