My mixer has a button for the phono/line instead of a switch. I know it still works the same way, but will it ever be as fast as a switch?

we're all learning form u and then practicing it, so take your own medicine and practice too :D
odly enough, i've seen qbert's dvd and he teaches crabs and all that... but he never mentions using the switch, as far as i can remember. thanx for that. I can't change my fader curve, so this will come in handy.

hmm... i'm commenting this pretty late, but i hope by now you've turned that turntable around battle style so that you don't have to reach over the needle n arm to get at that record. good tips... i'm not as fast on the cut switch tho.

i had a switch on my old mixer and it suxed for this... it was the line/phono but I had vdj timecode so I would have to disconnect the back 2 wires from the line or the phono ones. On my new mixer I have , it has a switch for this.. iits either up (on) or center (off) and it has a down setting for on, and its spring loaded so u can just push it down without it sticking. if you let it go it will be off.
I find using the crossfader instead of the switch easier, but it takes practice and skill

I remember some mixers boasted punch buttons to this. After destroying several channels on several mixers I found punch buttons to be a lot more component friendly. :-)))
Thank god 4 curve adjustable and more importantly..... replaceable x-fade!!!!!
