Yep. He used to flip right-handed guitars upside down (much like Hendrix) but he never bothered to change the stringing. Hen fender started making him left handed guitars he kept the strings that way out of preference. Uses big strings to, .16 or something rediculous like that.

he is using a delay effect so when he picks a string the sound will be doubled in the middle of 2 notes

Nope, he really IS playing THAT FAST. There was a documentary special on him on TV a couple of months ago and he demonstrated on camera how he came up with that distinct sound, using an ACOUSTIC guitar in his living room.

The delay pedal doesn't make it sound faster it already is. He tremolo picks every single note. The delay just gives it an echoing sort of sound.

AGREED. The drummer is a fucking idiot and can't play within the style, I don't even see why he would play the way he is, the music doesn't even give off that kind of vibe or emotion... This song is very laid back, and mysterious, not a fucking rock song.
