Kaku is a genius and I love hearing him speak - Thanks for posting this. Type 1 civ. sounds great, but I hope he's right that the middle class will strengthen, otherwise we are in Orwell's future of Big Brother and Corporate control which relys on disparity for domination of the masses to do their bidding, and history is replete with this example dating back to the Egyptians. Reading Joseph Campbell can help in this regard so that the next generation are not beguiled by organized religions.

I like this interview and I love the way Prof. Kaku explains science to people like me who have very little knowledge of scientific theories and such.
PD: 23:16, talking about DNA shopping for our children, we can change their features and "their... look" (well, look at his hands, he clearly thinks of boobs!). Love this man!

Kaku is amazing! He has the innate and intuitive ability to "y = mx + c" science! (r = ax + b if youre Amercian).
His brain is probably the very essence of imagination, inspiration and creation of new science.
He predicts (extrapolates current ideas), science follows!

On the contrary the host is very good, he is going with the flow, there is no script, there are no list of questions, nothing is rehearsed, all questions are within the context of the conversation they are having. This is a conversation, not an interview.
