Well what i ment is ... ( 1 month ago by Devilsnightforlife)
Well what i ment is, people speak in different ways. Not just different words but also different ways to pronounce them. They use their vocal chords in a different way, speak deep in their throat, high, through their nose etc.
For example, if you listen to russian and japanese and arabic then you can clearly hear their differences in speaking - which should lead to them probably having harder times learning some languages.

Wenn die Deutschen ... ( 1 month ago by asiris09)
Wenn die Deutschen streiten, besonders Frauen, die Sprache wird unglaublich schrill und penetrant. Ich wäre lieber Taub in solchen Momenten. Und Russisch, ja, viele Konsonanten dazu aber melodisch.

Everything's right, ... ( 3 weeks ago by vassily239rus)
Everything's right, I'd just like to add:
vannaya komnata - it's a place with a shower, so if you're looking for WC, you should say "туалет" - too-ah-LET, it's a common word, it's normal.
The first two "o"'s ... ( 3 weeks ago by DrAfrothunder)
The first two "o"'s are unstressed, and in Russian that gives them an "a" sound. The final one is one the stress, making it a regular long "o". This is why in all books meant to teach russian you will find some sort of amrker for where the stress in a word is; it can and will change pronunciation.

Or: "gde m'ozhno pomy't rookee?" - where can I wash my hands. "gde oo vahs tual'et?" I indicated the stress with apostrophe before the stressed vowel. The intonation in questions like those goes down.
