| its so true,expensive is not always better!! i was a skin care therapist, i used and "prescribed" dermalogica, ultraceuticals,md formulations, napoleon makeup and mac cosmetics,im now a nurse, but boy do i feel bad for conning my clents.ive gone from using the products obove to olay,sunsense sunscreen and a basic liquid cleanser-my skin looks great-so does my wallet!!Listen up ladies (and maybe gents)dont fall for the sales pitches and unrealistic promises! |

| Do some research online on those expensive creams such as the Orlane Hypnotherapy she mentioned, and you will realize that there is science backing to it. That cream was literally engineered to have an effect on your nerve to brain response. Neuro skincare seems to be the new frontier. And no I have never used that cream but it did interest me enough to do some research on it. |

| Besides what she said about poison ivy is total bull. Sometimes, poison in small quantities may actually be good for you. Out of the famous beauty advisors.Only books and advises from Leslie Baumann should be considered. Paula Begoun is only out there to sell sell sell. |

| OMG. She is full of crap. Many people who uses high-end creams can testify that they work better than the generic counterparts. It's not only the ingredients that are important in skincare but also their delivery systems. The skincare that she makes aren't all that either -why do you think her antioxidant serums remain so clear? It's because it contains so little of those antioxidants : I was actually one of them who used to believe in her marketing campaigns. |

| i trust more in Paula than in famous PHD in dermatology as Murad or Perricone because they are much more commercial with absurd prizes. Paula offers some of best products in market to lowest prizes as possible. One no need to study dermatology to know that certain ingredients are no goods. Studies are open for everybody |

| No cosmetic could get to your nerve endings without being considered a drug, and therefore subjected to scrutiny by the FDA. And regarding the cream from Orlane, what type of science is backing it up? I believe before making comments you should inform yourself and understand how the skin works. |

| Anyone who have used anything that contains peppermint or the constituent part of it, menthol, has experienced the effect of day to day ingredients having an effect on your nerve endings. I believe you are way too sucked in by Paula's marketing nonesense. She is after all out there selling her own cosmetic lines. |

| BTW FDA isn't all that either, the FDA don't even regulate supplements like the Euro countries do. FDA to me is kinda blah... Too slow... Too boring... Too pushed by big corporations. Ever wonder why Retin-A is the only FDA proven anti-wrinkle ingredient when normal Retinoids can do the same job with less irritation? |

| An effect on your nerve ending can be a sensation. A warm sensation/ comforting sensation/ cooling sensation...??? Hellooo... haha.... Haha. Please do not rub FDA in other people's faces, it will just make you look dumb. In Euro, they have started to enforce laws by 2009 such as the total ban on animal testing, and to have the effects of the ingredients they use on their skin to be researched thoroughly. |

| Do you see FDA doing that? So Orlane being a french brand... it probably do say quite a bit... Also you might have noticed that the rest of the industry are starting to create new products that are based to target the nerve endings such as the new offerings from Lancome. And please do thorough research on what guidelines are. |

| I used to have severe acne and I was on accutane twice, once while also using LIQUID retin-A, needless to say due to these treatments I had to use sunscreen. Most sunscreens caused further irritation or were too greasy for my super oily skin. I tried everything and failed until I found the 3 recommend products in her book all of which worked. And this was BEFORE she had her own skin line. I have been a fan since. Her sunscreen for oily skin is amazing!! |
