go to html in the top bar then conversion and then text to html it will mess up so u will have to fix some stuff up

I am on an iMac G5. Since I can't use PSPad, I'm using my Text Editor, per your suggestion. I typed everything in exactly as you have instructed. However, when I save the text as an HTML document, it opens in my browser as text, not as a webpage. What am I doing wrong?

just use "File - open File" in Safari. That works fine for me.

Do they offer a "type and view" program where you type it in and right beside the thing your typing it will display it without haveing to save and reopen the file everytime or having so many windows open?
