Manson did some of the original words on this but the song is all Dennis, same writing style as on POB and Bambu. If you are into pop with no connection between the musical notes then this is not for you, if however you believe that a musical chord can emit emotion then you will get this and all of Dennis's music, as well as his older brothers. Brian's true genius was making chords on a Pop song about cars girls or surfing actually make you feel something. Not just banal pop songs with no emotio

It is a very nice vocal performance by all, and I like the job Dennis does on it. The harmonies are lovely. It certainly is Manson's song, given a Beach Boys polished arrangement & performance. It doesn't just have some vague resemblance to Manson's song, it IS his song, with a sophisticated arrangement. How odd.

I like Charlie's original version ALOT more than this one. Not that I hate this one, but I think Charlie's unpolished, underproduced version conveys the real emotions of the song.

I just don't get it. I have listed to many of the song's that Manson has written or performed. I can't understand the reverence given to Manson by some of the commenters here. He is just not that good. He has some talent but you might think he was some genius or something. This song is monotonous...even the Beach Boys, who give it their best shot can't pull it off. This might be a good tune to play while considering suicide, but I can't see any other reason to listen to it twice.

Jesus fucked my ass with a muslim`s broomstick! I`m from Scotland...why oh why can`t people `get` this song? Does anyone REALLY think Charles Manson was anything but a deluded lunatic? THIS IS THE DEFINITIVE version of THAT tune (dare I say song). Dennis wilson was a brilliant song writer. He thought manson was a great talent, so much so that he introduced him to his producer and later
stole his song which he sang here with passion and claimed to be his own. We can all make decisions on who's word to take for what. Smarter people come to conclusions based on a reputable source. I think ill take dennis's opinion of mansons work over a dickheads 2 cents and the infantile ramblings of a scottish tard.

BELLYDWELLER He didnt steal his songs. mansonn was paid (a paltry sum im sure but paid nonetheless) by Terry melcher. manosn thought this was also a promise of a record conttract which it wasnt. That is why he stalked that house. And didnt realize melcher movved and told the gang to kill everybody in the house thinking to get melcher.
