Seriously, kid- leave the theological discussions to the grownups. You're 14. You can't really have an opinion- you haven't even been born yet.
I'm a person too, I know how to think, and I do. And, actualy, I was born 14 years ago. I know my stuff. And leaving the theological discussions to the grownups? I don't think so. In some ways, I think I'm more mature than you. You don't see me going around and calling people cowards and having monkeybrains, do you? You don't have to be an adult to read and think.
I believe that Jesus is the one and only way to heaven.
Being 14 & saying "I know the answer- it's Jesus" is basically like saying that you're on the same intellectual level as Steven Hawking- you feel me?
I belong to nothing. (cool that you sussed the Masons as being more church than club, though)
When you die, you go the same place as everything else does. I don't believe in hell (just a tool for behavior modification). There is no damnation. All beings return to the source eventually...
Anyway it seems our argument is over, so if I offended you any, I'm sorry, but I hope that you thought about what I said.
Goodbye!
The source is god.
Therefore, returning to the source IS going to heaven.
The only difference is there is no hell behind you. Basically you either proceed to heaven or hang out here in the lesser dimensions (yes, kids, its time to apply dimensional physics to spiritual constructs...).
And how, exactly, do you KNOW? I base my opinions on empirical evidence...
Have you read any of C.S. Lewis' books? Not the Narnia books, altough I love those, but "Mere Christianity". It might explain things in a way you can understand since it was written on an intellectual level. The difference in following Jesus should be the change it makes in you. Listen to 'Shine' by the Newsboys.
See everybody? Polite & conscious discourse breeds more polite & conscious discourse!
hee hee
(oh, my last three months have been excellent, btw, so maybe I owe you thanks for that, too!)
I'll keep you in my prayers. Let me know if there's anything in particular. Obviously I can't make any guarantees. God is not answerable to me, but he loves you as much as He loves me, so who knows what He might do.
You ARE god. So the question is really 'are you answerable to yourself?' :)
Or something. Words are imperfect. I hope you can what I'm saying anyway.
'Define' GOD?
I wouldn't dare. That whole concept is what I'm trying to help us move away from.
(Like, the entire theology debate is rooted in the presupposition that you believe in Something that's bigger & smarter than you. It is, therefore, certain folly to even attempt to define that which by it's nature is beyond any and all definitions you may have for it.)
That said, the answer to your question would be related to E=mc2 & source field potentialities...
I had hoped you'd be too intelligent to define god or God. I can tell you most certainly that I am neither.
And I definitely believe in that 'Something' as strongly as I believe in oxygen keeping me breathing.
Why? I would need much more the '300 characters' to explain.;) back to u
I didn't call you A god. I called you god (& I was serious, thanks). You are to god as water molecule is to ocean. Period.
As far as a relatable concept in Christianity, it's like the true mystical meaning of the Trinity- father, son, spirit, right? But it's not about 'Jesus'. Basically, it's a cosmology. You have god, man, and the spirit which unites, and all three are one. In other words, there is nothing that is not god. Or, in mathematical terms, E=mc2.
You remind me of a friend who proved in his logics class that there was no difference between a door and an orange. Theory is fun to play with, but I wouldn't want to eat the door.
So what are your other interests?
I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that I'm not anywhere near as educated as you. As far as cosmology goes, I believe that God created everything. The world is too well laid out and intricate for it not to be "Intelligent Design". A blade of grass is amazing, much less the human eye or our solar system, etc.
Please don't be offended. I thought you had a good sense of humor. I won't rib you. 4give?
