I am glad you picked up on my humor. But I must say the description you give of Oprah accurately describes most big-media preachers including Ted Haggerty who had many followers. Do you have as much contempt for them as you do for Oprah?
And I am grown up. That is why I can be relaxed about Oprah's opinions on religion. It is her freedom to discuss her opinions, beliefs and feelings and I am not threatened by it. Are you threatened by the Mormon claim that they have the last word from God?

Oprah has every right to discuss her views but dont you think she also needs to be responsible with her actions? She is now doing what all the false men and woman of God have done, playing on the vulnerability of the weak minded to further an agenda. Religion has long been used as a tool to manipulate the well intentioned, the weak minded and the fearful. Look at how the Catholic Church behaved in Spain under Franco... absolute power. Other religious groups like the Taliban in Afganistan make easy examples of how religion gets used to control and manipulate people. Oprah might be sincere and she might be playing a game. If more people had the courage to criticize and think for themselves, religion could not be so easily used to manipulate.

I don't get what the logic is behind the camera she's holding... Who came up with that idea?? It's impersonal, annoying, she doesn't even make eye contact with either of them for most of the video! It lowers the quality of the video, going from good quality studio cameras to this that little thing... Yikes.... You'd think that there was SOMEONE on that show with common sense enough to go "wait a tick.... this is a dumb idea"

Oprah refuses to interview Sarah Palin on her TV show because she choses her race over her gender! What happened to Equal Opportunity? Oprah interviewed Obama, Clinton, but refuses Sarah Palin the first woman in history to be nominated as a Republican VP? Maybe Oprah is just racist or prefers to not support other women?
