Video Description:
PLEASE VOTE FOR ME is an award-winning documentary about an interesting social experiment with democracy in China.
In an elementary school in the city of Wuhan in central China, three eight-year-old students campaign for the coveted position of class monitor. This is the first election for a class leader to be held in China. The three candidates hold debates, campaign tirelessly and show their intellectual and artistic skills, until one is voted the winner. Their parents, devoted to their only child, take part and start to influence the results.

Voting is often less important than the other elements. HK has very limited voting but has the other elements and is very successful.
Only the CPC and GW Bush push the line that democracy is just about voting.
Note: the government usually don't pick the candidates, but voting fraud happen from time to time from what I heard. Yes, this is what happens when there's a democracy without proper voter education and regulations, most importantly, without a real voting culture. people just buy votes.
It's also been interesting reading everyone's comments!
Plato, "The Republic"
There will be no end to the troubles of states, or of humanity itself, till philosophers become kings in this world, or till those we now call kings and rulers really and truly become philosophers, and political power and philosophy thus come into the same hands.
Plato, "The Republic"
Plato, was a man who lived in a society that had experienced the realities of democracy.
This is a bullshit LIE! I remember I had election for a class leader 15 years ago when I was in Wuhan, China. I release why BBC likes twisting the truth...it is because they are people with a very limited outlook. Their small world is only in England, arrogance is all they have.
