I do not understand a single word of this timeless song.. but oh my goodness, Hanna's version is sooooo seductive and yet so playful!

this song is about a "soldadera", which used to be a woman who accompanied soldiers in times of war. Her soldier never comes back, she is standing under a street light where she used to meet him, all alone, it is so sad.... Some people who have experienced the time in which it was a "hit", cry whenever they hear this song (my mom)....
