I wasn't being critical of YOU. my criticism of Texas was in the guise a humorous skit. It is possible to be humourous and critical simultaneously.. here is where you missed the point, ok. you said "nobody should perform a certain way just cus its how they're expected to" I wasn't saying that she should do what she is expected to. It's the Video director saying it. your original reply seemed to indicate that you thought I was saying that she should do as she is told. I was not

Years ago, Sharleen Spiteri and Texas did a cover of Rolling Stone's Gimme Shelter. It was a live version. Does anyone know if it was ever released? I've never found it on any CDs from them, not even a downloadable version.

and I do see your point, that perhaps she would be told those things by some people as society often prefers a more tanned appearance etc, if you don't want people to 'miss the point' then perhaps you shouldn't try that style of humour since it can get confusing if you're simultaneously trying to funny AND trying to say what some people might say to them AND dislike them (which will skew your comment)

2nd time was Edinburgh Castle 31.12.2000. Along with Joan Armatrading 2 of the finest live singers I have hsd the chance to see live.

Yeah, this song goes about 20 years back. I loved this song and album back then. I was in the military then and traveled a lot, so whenever I hear this song I get really sentimental because it reminds me of far away places and where I was in my life then.
