Oh come on. Don't be a party pooper. There's nothing to dislike about his voice. Just think of him as a poet (and a good one) who prefers to deliver his lines in slightly more than a speaking voice. Madeleine Peyroux (on YouTube) might appeal to you more. Both versions are top notch, evoking slightly different, and yet similar, emotions.

Where have I been all of these years?!!!...I was born in 1948 and up until last week I had never heard of Leonard Cohen!..and of all things the amazing thing is that my own daughter who was born in '69 introduced me to him from her myspace page!..this guy is AMAZING,his words,music,and ways of presenting his work is unbelievable..and to top it off for me..he looks a little like Al Pacino!..which is a PLUS for me!<3:-)
