1990 Ron Paul Interview Message Still Applies Today (Part 1)

Uploaded by: GalacticQuest
Video Description:
This is part one of an interview with Ron Paul, from back in 1990, during the FIRST Gulf War. His message still applies today. Funny how history repeats itself.
It seems that Ron Paul is the only 2008 presidential candidate who has maintained constant integrity with his views and policies, even while all the other candidates are constantly flip-flopping.
Ron Paul is the ONLY presidential candidate who want to decrease the power of the President and return our government to what the Founding Fathers originally intended. Democrats may want to end the War in Iraq, but only Ron Paul will end all illegal wars and global "police actions". After all, even the leading democrats like Hillary Clinton are saying there is "no option off the table" when dealing with Iran... not even preemptive nuclear strikes against Iran.
Don't elect another warmonger. Elect a peacemonger. Vote Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is America's last hope. Here's a brief summary of his position:
Ron Paul is the ultimate presidential candidate... probably the greatest United States presidential candidate in the entire history of the United States.
Ron Paul does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
Ron Paul returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Ron Paul has never accepted money from lobbyists.
Ron Paul raised over six million dollars in one day on December 16, from over 50,000 donations from individual donors, not corporations.
Ron Paul has raised over 18 million dollars from individual donors, not corporations.
Ron Paul has never voted to raise taxes.
Ron Paul has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
Ron Paul has never voted to raise congressional pay.
Ron Paul has never taken a government-paid vacation.
Ron Paul has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
Ron Paul voted against the Patriot Act.
Ron Paul voted against government regulation of the internet.
Ron Paul voted against the Iraq war.

here's an honest question from a non supporter. ron paul has advised against foolish foreign intervention, while i agree vietnam, korea and iraq were bad ideas, is ron paul against afghanistan? or would he be against ww1+ww2? in those three wars our intervention was very important to our security and the world's.

Ron Paul voted ... ( 8 months ago by GalacticQuest)
Ron Paul voted AGAINST the Iraq War from the start, but he voted in favor of searching for Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan (the War on Terror). However, now that the War on Terror has gone astray and resulted in hundreds (if not thousands) of civilian deaths in Afghanistan, Ron Paul supports bringing our troops home from Afghanistan immediately.
Ron Paul would have ... ( 8 months ago by GalacticQuest)
Ron Paul would have opposed U.S. involvement in World War I. Before the U.S. got involved, it was a regional war in Europe which posed little or no threat to the United States. Now before you go asking, "But what if Germany won and took over all of Europe?" remember that it was Germany's humiliating defeat and the burdens of war reparations placed on the German people that led to Hitler rising to power.
Ron Paul believes ... ( 8 months ago by GalacticQuest)
Ron Paul believes in the Just War Theory, which states that a war can only be justified when it is fought solely in defense. Ron Paul believes that unlike most other American wars, World War II is justified because of the attack on Pearl Harbor. However, he believes that our aggressive campaign of invading the Japanese mainland and dropping atomic bombs was unnecessary, and there would have been far fewer causalities on both sides if we had focused more on defense rather than offense.
Remember, Ron Paul ... ( 8 months ago by GalacticQuest)
Remember, Ron Paul supports having a strong military and a strong national defense. He believes, as do I, that the best way to have a strong national defense is not to sprawl our military forces over 130 different countries (like we are currently doing) in order to occupy foreign nations and wage preemptive strikes in the Middle East, but to keep our troops in our own mainland where they can defend our mainland.

The only issue Ron has changed his mind on,
is the death penalty! and that's because of DNA technology and all the innocent people that have been put to death..
That's it! compare that to any other cndidate!
Big,big difference!

You are missing his message. He is ALL FOR (and has voted in favor of) hunting those responsible (including Osama) for the 9/11 attacks, concentrated in Afghanistan. The principle issues is to not attack a NATION that is not responsible for attacks against the US. Afghanistan did not attack the US.

The sad thing is, we were so close to no Gulf War I--that action only carried by about 5 votes in the Senate.
But now we are so pro-war that politicians who had overwhelming majorities of their constituents against the war(like Hillary Clinton) voted for Iraq2 anyway.
