It's hard to see it well on the small video of You Tube but I've heard that the T-Shirt Ronnie was wearing had a image of neil Young on it. The "riff" between Ronnie and Neil was apparently overblown. neil's "Southern Man" rubbed Ronnie and some Skynyrd members the wrong way to some degree as the lyrics in Sweet Home Alabama reflect but there are reports around from people who know that said they admired each other as musicians and that the dislike between them was more myth than reality.

"Southern man" from CSN&Y Live double album titled "4 Way Street" is also a rock classic, perhaps not as well known as Freebird, but musically, the musicianship on that version of "Southern Man" is probably the best of any rock song ever recorded. Up there along with Freebird, Stairway to Heaven, Hotel California, Comfortably Numb, and many others.
