The inflatable dome

Uploaded by: queensrow
Video Description:
In the late 1960's a group of artists decided to build a 1000 person capacity inflatable building to take to music festivals as a performance space. This completely hemispherical monster called FairGround (think about it...) toured all of the major festivals, run by a crew of about 14 and was used for music, dance, film, crashing and other not entirely legal activities during a period of three years. Hawkwind and many other alternative bands played in it and after performances at festivals by the Who, Hendrix, Dylan etc, punters would flock to the dome for discussion of the music (and other not entirely legal activities)
