| Yeah, it's true they can remove the fangs, but no, they don't grow back. They do it in a very vicious and inhumane process that leaves the snake unable so wounded he's unable eat. So the snakes get to be pissed off and scared in these shows, and then starve to death. Great. |

| My son told me about this. Are there any animal welfare agencies trying to ban snake charming? And, where did you get the info from; would like to learn more. It is sad & tragic for these animals. Some other countries like Thailand, Cambodia??? will kill these Cobras to drink their bile; they think it is liquid viagra. Also like to swallow the still-beating heart as well. Sad, very sad. |

| I honestly learned it from a show Steve Irwin did on snake charming several years ago, and then did some research on it myself. Snake charmers also sew the snake's mouth shut, which I think is just sick. I know the World Wildlife Fund has activists involved in this. Snake charming was banned in India in 2006, but there are still people that do it of course, and in smaller countries it is still a very active part of their culture. It's so sad that superstition leads them to torture animals. |
