I have a funny true story. 5 years ago, I was having knee trouble. My grandma suggested horse lintiment...which is like a sore muscle rub for horses that you buy at a farm store. I loved your explanation of the sympathetic/ parasympathetic interplay during arousal. I wonder if the excitation of the sympathetic nervous system is involved with "makeup" sex or "angry" sex. It seems that an overstimulation of the sympathetic system would trigger the parasympathetic system, which could explain the intense passion that begins and ends these types of sex.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (anitdepressants such as Prozac and others)can slow orgasm in men a LOT. It helped me after years of frustration. It was amazing the difference it made.
I know stress, psychological problems, etc. are often given as the cause for premature ejaculation, but I suspect that a lot of it is just your genetics. SSRI's can take care of this very nicely.
