"stop gays from getting married"? I don't know this man, but why is the government involved in the first place? And where in the constitution does it grant marriage (homosexual or heterosexual?) Should be left up to the states, if anything.

As with many LP members they will wait for there 'perfect candidate' that will get about .4% in the general. Thus the reason the LP is as useful as a warm bucket of spit as far as national politics goes.
Barr and Paul are ... ( 5 months ago by JimDuensing)
Barr and Paul are different in several important areas. For instance Paul voted against the Iraq war. Barr voted for it. Paul voted against the Patriot Act. Barr wrote parts of it. Paul has opposed the drug war his entire career. Barr was one of the biggest drug warriors in Congress - which is why the Libertarian Party once targeted Barr for removal from office. Barr is not equipped to continue the Revolution. Vote Libertarian. Vote Mary Ruwart.
For Libertarian ... ( 5 months ago by Cooman456)
For Libertarian president, you need a man with real credentials. Barr and Mike Gravel are the only ones who have held political offices. Now narrow it down to the one who has the most Libertarian veiws- is being anti-abortion, anti-gay rights, and pro-patriot act very Libertarian? Barr beleives all that I listed above. Gravel is the right choice by a mile.

This fascist voted YES for the Patriot Act, YES to ban gay adoptions in D.C., YES to ban flag burning, YES to ban medical marijuana in D.C., sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act, and opposes illegal and LEGAL immigration. I would have to have absolutely no morals to vote for him. Skinheads love the guy I'm sure

Bob Barr is not an orthodox libertarian.
BUT:
He will immediately begin withdrawing our troops from Iraq, and from Europe & Japan.
He is opposed to invading & occupying foreign nations.
He will end the federal drug war.
He inserted the sunset clause into the Patriot Act, and has worked for many years to repeal key provisions of it.
He wants to abolish several federal departments, including the IRS.
He wants to repeal the 16th Amendment.
There is a huge difference between him and the big 2.

i actually just decided im voting Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party instead after reading an article Baldwin wrote entitled "Christian Right Just Doesn't Get It." In the 2nd paragraph he says, "We are pro-life; we stand for marriage as God defined it, we believe children should have the right to pray in school." He's too much of a theocrat for me. Im pro-choice and I support ALL individual rights including gays. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! I guess I'm more libertarian than conservative.
