The amount of atrocities I've seen on youtube alone, committed by muslims, in the name of Islam, with quotations from the koran justifying them...

About 30 years ago Iran was one of the most civilized nations on earth.
Woman where integrated in political, economical and social live .
people had worked hard for many generations and where now enjoying the fruits of their hard labor and intelligent politics.Live was good in Iran, an example for the whole world that utopia can be achieved.

Sharia law & it's interpretation created this event. There's no accountability for the judge. Where there is sharia law, women have no civil rights; no protection.
Beyond that, most armed conflicts today involve Muslims who want to impose sharia on non Muslim cultures. If it's so great, why does it have to forced on people? Sharia isn't just a religion, it's a way of life that is, IMO, stifling to the human spirit.
As a woman I would fight to my death rather than live under such a law.

Are you really naive or do you think I am? According to how the Koran is interpreted the verse against non compulsion has been replaced with the infamouse 'sword' verse. As far as women's rights, it's how those verses are enforced (extremely poorly IMO) that matters. Women have no authority or representation in any country under Sharia law.
Words are nice but it's what people DO that matters.

Women are given a nominal amount of rights in the Koran. Actually, by being specific, it limits women's rights far more than the Old or New Testament does. The fact that these rights are non existent, for all practical purposes, in modern Islamic cultures that are ruled by Sharia law while the opposite is true in cultures formed under the influence of the Bible is, IMO, proof...
