That's not a revelation...it's a hallucination. Jon Anderson is one of the most originally brilliant lyricist and vocalist of all time. His vocal melodies are genius.

If by brilliant you mean colorful than I agree. Jon has this way of stringing words together depsite their meaning. The sounds of the words make for some brilliance. His vocal melodies are a group effort. Check out that video where Yes is arranging "Parallels". Steve is actually playing variants of what would become the melody.
But After listening to Drama, I realized that Yes is alot more than Jon and some of Jon's lyrics make me cringe (Paticularly "Tales fo Topographic Oceans").

Well, of course YES is a lot more than Jon, but he's certainly no weak link. Definitely a true group synergy is the purest sense. I liked "Drama" but Trevor Horn worshiped Jon as a singer and the other members of the band said Trevor couldn't do Jon's songs justice on the Drama tour, though he tried valiantly. Makes sense, though.

Wow! I just got this album and I had to cross reference this song to make sure it was really Yes! This sounds almost nothing like their other works. Still rocks my face off, though! YES!

Yes, you're right, its a lot different from all they've made. You can relate it to fragile somehow, because they came back to shorter songs. Still, a lot different. The only thing that bothers me is that they're playng in a lower key!! so different from the original recording.

For me they are one of the best and most creative bands ever. There's a guy called tom colquhoun who plays some amazing guitar music on 2 guitars at the same time. He wrote on the Yes myspace that he's going to do a version of Going For The One.Should be worth looking out for.

This is my favorite Yes song. This live version is pretty strong, despite Anderson's voice which can't quite hit the high notes anymore. . . A very under-rated song. . .
