I don't agree with ... ( 2 weeks ago by MagaCarey)
I don't agree with you when you say that "Brazil... tends to offend Portuguese language spoken in Portugal." Brazilians share the language of Portugal, but that doesn't mean that they "offend" the language. Of course, the accent is different! You are talking about two different countries that speak the same language!
It would be as saying that Americans "offend" the English, or that Mexicans "offend" the Spanish.
What you say is simple absurd. Language is used differently by everybody.

there is something ... ( 2 weeks ago by joshuademoraes)
there is something more.If someone comes to you and says:
stranger- hey , me passe a grana! - you must to say:
you- claro! - and give him the money and don't make more questions.
If someone else comes and asks you:
stranger- Pra que time voçê torçe?- immediately you must to say with a big smile:
you- Palmeiras... and run, run, run like if you have never ran before, and don't look back.
well, more tips soon.

Brazilians are way ... ( 2 weeks ago by sabrinalight)
Brazilians are way poorer than portugueses, thanks to Portugal, that had the gold, the cane, the wood from Brazil and even so became a nation less important among the others europeans ones. I'm not dismissing Portugal, it's a lovely country, but some ignorants like you ashame portuguese people.
yeah of course ... ( 2 weeks ago by tacv)
yeah of course blame Portugal for ur countries misery. its easier that way. Try to learn a bit more about PT, not the past, but the present ,because brazilians still have a wrong idea of us, especially because nothing arrives there from Portugal (music, cinema, etc) and the only portuguese people u know is emigrants from 30 and more years ago that went to Brazil from the interior of Portugal. I actually have some brazilians in my family and when they arrived PT they were very suprised with PT
hi MagaCarey, when ... ( 2 weeks ago by tacv)
hi MagaCarey, when i said "offend" i was refering to the almost need that brazilians have to say that portuguese language is so diferent, and strange, and not as beautifull as the portuguese speaked in brazil, and with that cames all the wrong ideas that brazilians still have about us ... you just need to read the comments in some portuguese videos and u will always see a brazilian saying that kind of things. I never said that BZ offend portuguese language with their acent or expressions :)

Your comment was very funny. :)
George Bernard Shaw once said, "England and America are two countries separated by the same language."
I don't have much to say about that.
My first language is Spanish, but I've been in love with English since I started studying it. I love English. It's such a beautiful language!

I went to brazil 2 times and there some friends told me that this expression "dor de cotovelo" means a person that has envy for somebody or something, got it? freg example: the guy only told us 'bout the trip because he was with "dor de cotovelo" in other words"the guy only told us 'bout the trip to make us envious". Envy = dor de cotovelo

that's wrong. dor de cotovelo is, more especifically, the feeling when your boy/girlfriend or wife/husband cheat's on you.

European Portuguese is much beautiful than "brazilian Portuguese"
"brazilian portuguese" is beautiful too but european portuguese (Portugal) is the original, is much more bautiful, perfect and romantic :D
P.S: That's right... "dor de cotovelo" is a portuguese expression that means envy ;)
