In this video we show you how to speed up your PC by following these steps.
1. Free up disk Space
By freeing up disk space it will improve your Computers performance, When you run Disk clean up it will empty the recycle bin, remove temporary Internet files, Remove downloaded program files and remove programs that you don't use any more. to do this.
Windows Vista and Windows XP: Click Start, then all programs, then click accessories, then click system tools, then click Disk Cleanup
This Window will pop-up, Click on "Files from all users on this computer" Then User Acsess Control will pop-up, Click continue.
Select a drive to clean up, then click on OK.
After Disk clean-up checks your Harddrive, This window will pop-up, We suggest you tick Hibernation File Cleaner and recycle bin. Then click OK.
2. Scan for spyware and viruses
Scanning for spyware and viruses can not only make your PC run faster but also make it safer. To scan for viruses it depends on what program you have. We recommend Nod32 as a anti-virus and for spyware, a free program made by Microsoft (included in Windows Vista) Windows Defender. Scan for spyware and viruses regularly Minimum once a week.
3. Defragment Your Hard drive
Disk fragmentation can slow you PC down, When files are fragmented, the PC must search the hard disk when the file is opened to piece it back together. The response time can be allot longer if there is a lot of fragments on your Hard drive.
Windows Vista and Windows XP: Click Start, then all programs, then click accessories, then click system tools, then click Disk Defragmenter
Click Ok to defrag your HardDive
4. Delete Those programs
If theres a program that you havent used within a month, the probability of you using it again are very slim, Why keep it? Its staying on you Hard drive taking up space and potentially slowing your machine down. Simple, Uninstall it.
