An elephant is very dangerous...but they are WILD- they are not domesticated and probably won't ever be- since people have kept them in captivity for thousands of years...Domesticated animals "are substantially altered as a group in appearance or behavior" from wild animals (Wikipedia). Elephants appear and act the same in captivity and in the wild. Killing a wild animal for being wild serves no purpose. Killing an animal for food serves a purpose.

No. He was a market researcher. His team of 15 or so scientists and engineers who worked in the back did the inventing. If Edison's research found that there wasn't a market for something, he would not put his employees to work on it. If he hadn't found a market for the light bulb, he wouldn't have bothered. Read a book. Edison wasn't smart in the way actual inventors, like Tesla, were smart. Edison was a talented businessman. He's more like Donald Trump than Nicola Tesla.

I don't want to repeat everything that's been said here,but the people who point out that most of Edison's inventions and ideas came from his employees are absolutely right. Unlike most companies that have patent rights assigned to them, but still let the individual creator take credit, Edison hijacked every idea and put his own name on it. He was also a slave-driver who worked his employees mercilessly. Find out about the real Edison and you will find that he was a heartless businessman.

Also Edison was a calculating liar. He knew damn well how superior AC was to DC, but he engaged in a deceptive propaganda campaign to discredit AC because all of his "eggs" were in the DC basket. Because of his patents and jump-start on manufacturing, he made millions by championing DC distribution. Don't make a hero of this man. And besides that,nearly everything he ever discovered (mostly his employees discovered) including electric light was already being worked on by other people.

I was looking for the mention of Tesla after the mention of his financier who eventually double crossed the brilliant patriot.
She still a good kitty. I think she used the word advocate or supported the use of AC but certainly not invented. Ignorance of Tesla is not a crime, rather a testament to the effectivness of information supression.
