Yes, but it would require software on the server that captured video in an mp4 container. Would take considerably more processing power then the normal mp2 video stream that cards normally do.

try program tversity. it codes and then makes a stream. You can watch on xbox ps psp and now iphone support. But it's quite tricky with making the correct setting

I think he means progressive download. QuickTime for iPod seems to be rejecting streaming (RTSP) URLs. I would love to find an RTSP client for iPhone.

If you watch carefully, the contents are played back with QuickTime. Your DivX
Webplayer doesn't, it will probably be Flash, and iPhone doesn't like that :D
That's why there's an app for playing YouTube videos, they're H264 transcoded so iPhone can play it.
