They are moral conservatives who stay out of politics, but they won a record number of court cases expanding freedom for everyone. They refuse blood transfusions on religious grounds, but they embrace the science behind bloodless surgery. In Nazi Germany, they could fight for Hitler or go to the concentration camps. They chose the camps.
Following two families who stand firm for their controversial and misunderstood Christian faith, KNOCKING reveals how Jehovah's Witnesses have helped shape history beyond the doorstep.
KNOCKING premieres Tuesday, May 22 on Independent Lens, a weekly series airing on PBS. Hosted by Terrence Howard, the acclaimed series showcases powerful and innovative independent films. Presented by ITVS, Independent Lens is broadcast on PBS stations nationwide.

THAT'S IT???? That gives SUCH A WRONG impression about JW's, I don't like that video at all!!! It's so void of all the enormous blessing that comes from knowing Jehovah. Considering the horrible world conditions we live in today, those people are the happiest on the PLANET!!! Those who put their trust in JEHOVAH that is. Because those who put trust in Jehovah are those he BLESSES!

Actually JW want to work as a unity.
Therefore, central questions and theological postions have to be treated by the leadership.

I'm an atheist. ALL religion is nonsense. JW is just a perversion of a perversion, which I guess makes it worse. Standing on the outside, I can easily see the JW cult for what it is.

Terrence Came to Our Kingdom Hall in Brooklyn, NY for a short time. I have seen his acting rise from one of the brothers of MJ, a drummer in Mr. Hollands Opus, to main characters. It would be interesting to see him again. I wonder if he would remember me? IT is true that ,as all these comments both negative and positive testify, Jehovah's Witnesses have had an indelible mark on the world. Just reading "About this Video" is the tip of the iceberg. I am off to watch it.

The biggest mistake people think is that a JW is in the organization because of some "things" you are alowed to to or not to do and don´t realize, that the meaning of being a Jehovas witness is being A WITNESS FOR GOD- witnessing, that there exsist people who want to live in His kingdom and not in the kingdom of a man. WITNESSING for Him to all people, that He will not let people to command for forever- and we all know why. Also, when man gets to know God, one WANTS to do as He says.
