This program discusses the Bush $150 billion "Stimulus tax rebate" which as host Howard Phillips pointed out, "On this issue, at least, George Bush has trumped George McGovern, and he is a McGovernite." Viewers may remember former Senator McGovern's (D-SD) disastrous pledge to give every American $1,000 during his 1972 race for the White House. Rob Peter to pay Paul. The only money the government has is what it took from you in taxes (or printed or borrowed from China).
Various commentators have stated this is actually a stimulus for Communist China, which lends the money (buying US government bonds) which will be used by many recipients to buy Chinese goods.
Kristina Rasmussen also discusses two new government websites which give some transparency to government spending:
http://www.ExpectMore.gov which rates the effectiveness of government programs and agencies. She emphasizes that many of these agencies and programs are unconstitutional or should not exist, but at least there is some degree of accountability now.
The other website is:
http://www.USASpending.gov
which lists all government grants and spending of $25,000 and more.
The program also focuses on Saul Alinsky and his book "Rules for Radicals" which advocates using taxpayer funds for political activism. Both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barrack Hussein Obama studied Alinksy's methods--search for "Saul Alinsky" and Clinton or Obama for the details.

Haha it's not a gift from Bush. it's your own money in advance that will go against you 2009 tax return in the future. A gift is something you never have to pay back. "Think about it"

National Tax Payers Union is about the only website around that gave me any reason to think that a McCain presidency might be any different from a Democratic one.

LIARS! Thieves in US government positions LIE & steal from the people it has taken the money from that its so "generously" claiming to give a tiny bit back to us! I am eligible and like many others I know, was told I would receive the $600 tax rebate - but in fact only received a measley HALF ( $300 )!!! LIARS!

From decades of people in governmment stealing our money to use without fair and honest representation, while giving unthinkably huge amounts of tax breaks ( american taxpayers money ) to filthy rich corporations including oil companies, they cant even manage to be honest about the tiny amount $600 they made such a selfcongratulatory public noise about! But in truth are quietly only giving half what they promised!

I am all for less taxes. However, the bureaucrats and other self-appointed elitists are forgetting the other side of the equation. That is to reduce spending.

Thanks for posting this video!! I like the idea of a voluntary tax. But I should have a say on where my money is spent as well. I don't want to put my money toward special interests that I am opposed to. Let Freedom Ring!!!

The government could give everyone in America $100,000 each and we still wouldn't be even...Anytime Americans can pry money out of the greedy hands of politicians and put it back into the hands of the rightful owners, I'm all for it. Yeah Bush is an idiot and this isn't going to stimulate a flea. He may be a phony conservative, but I'll take my check and about a half million more please. Screw the government! Let them go without for a change!!!
