gtocali .. there are people here that think that live concerts should sound like the studio versions...to bad bass30507 has never been to one or he would know. But all is not lost. Perhaps someday his mommy will lend him enough money go to one.

One of the great pleasures of my life was sitting on the floor of Electric Lady Studios about two feet in front of Carlos as he played a live set on WNEW in NY to a studio audience of about 40. Ligertwood was there and the guy looked REAL haggard. He did not seem well. Great vocalist though.

That track was not written by Santana, it penned by Russ Ballard and is probably why it has a KISS feel and then some to it...

Actually, not only does this song indeed sound a lot like Love Gun by KISS in parts, but Santana personally insulted KISS for no reason in an interview a few years ago. Gene Simmons just laughed it off and said he liked some of Santana's music. But Santana was a real jerk-off for doing that, and showed how insecure he really is. He can play guitar and has a few decent songs but he's not even the star on his own recordings for goshsakes.

No it's not bullshit. Santana on Gene Simmons/KISS: "He's not a musician, he's an entertainer. KISS is Las Vegas entertainment, so he wouldn't know what music is anyway. That's why he wears all that stuff.
"A musician doesn't need the mask and the mascara so there's a difference between an entertainer and a musician."

"Carlos Santana is cool. His assessment? I have no problem with it. That's why they make menus in restaurants. Not everyone likes the same meal. I wish him well."
